This weekend our farm was covered in a blanket of snow. While it does increase the work load a tad, it certainly adds a little bit of magic to the place.

Penny keeps an eye on our sheep and lambs as we give them some supplementary feed during the cold snap. Penny has been with us for just 3 months now. She is a 22 month old working sheep dog. She arrived to us trained and what an addition she has been! Very keen for work and super intelligent. We are working well together so far, but still a bit to go before she fully settles in.

The Landrover Defender 110 always comes in handy in rough weather. It’s a real work horse on the farm. We have it for over 10 years, it will go anywhere in any weather. It helps us get around to our out-wintered sheep and cattle, keeping them well fed in harsh weather is the key to keeping them healthy.

The hens headed out gingerly the morning of the snow, there was a fair bit of ‘Whoa lads it’s freezing, what’s this white stuff?’

Someone forgot to put the Massey Ferguson 35X into the shed for the night!. Not a bother on her she started first swing of the key. Not bad for a tractor that’s close to 55 years old and not a computer chip in sight.
